About the Medival society at UK

The Medieval Combat society of UK is sponsored by the College of Vale d'Azure, a branch of the Middle Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) that is located on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Vale d'Azure is a vibrant, active group with members that travel to many events in the Middle Kingdom as well as in other Kingdoms. Our members are diverse and knowledgeable in many aspects of the current Middle Ages and are always willing to teach others.  Vale d'Azure is interested and willing to sponsor other UK college groups with an interest in being a part of the SCA and learning through doing about the Middle Ages (600-1600 AD).

The UK Medievalists host and co-host many fine events each year. Stop by fighter practice held every Sunday afternoon at 2pm in the grassy area between Administration Drive, UK Student Center, and in poor weather, the Buell Armory. Map here.
